Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a division of AFC Enterprises Inc., is spicing up its menus with the introduction of new Red Hot Popcorn Chicken.
The all-white meat chicken is marinated in a unique four-pepper blend of cayenne, white, black and habanero peppers with a touch of garlic, then battered and cooked in a light, crispy breading.
The bites are portable for on-the-go diners and are available for a limited-time only at participating locations.
“This is not your average nugget,” said Amy Alarcon, director of culinary innovation for Popeyes. “We didn’t just add heat; anyone can do heat. We do it right, the Louisiana way. With its spicy reddish hue, our new Red Hot Popcorn Chicken delivers the perfect combination of bold spices and an affordable price for a great meal.”
