Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a division of AFC Enterprises Inc., celebrates this Lenten season with the return of its Louisiana-inspired butterfly shrimp, available for a limited time through March 25.
Popeyes butterfly shrimp is marinated in a blend of Louisiana seasonings, battered and fried up crispy. Served in Popeyes original Seafood Tackle Box, the item includes eight shrimp over a bed of Cajun Fries with a freshly-baked buttermilk biscuit for $4.99.
"In a real Louisiana kitchen, you would be served a variety of seafood far beyond the typical fish sandwich," said Dick Lynch, chief global brand officer. "At Popeyes you can find real, quality seafood with real Louisiana-inspired flavor unlike any other QSR brand."
Also, when guests purchase the Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box or any combo with a 32 oz. or 44 oz. beverage, they will receive the Fanta Peel-and-Win cup with a promotional game piece. Prizes include one grand prize VIP trip to New Orleans in celebration of Popeyes 40th anniversary, a home theater system, free Popeyes for a year and Popeyes-branded T-shirts.
Instant Win pieces include a free regular beverage, Loaded Chicken Wrap, signature side item, pie, a buttermilk biscuit or a free gallon of a non-carbonated beverage. The Fanta Peel-and-Win promotion runs through May 13.
