Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen today announced that Hector Munoz, VP of Marketing, has been promoted to VP and CMO – U.S. Munoz will now lead the company’s marketing strategy and activities in the U.S., reporting directly to Dick Lynch, chief brand experience officer.
“Hector has proven to be instrumental in driving 17 consecutive quarters of positive same store sales at Popeyes,” Lynch said in a news release. “He has successfully demonstrated his leadership capabilities, executing our promotional calendar, increasing our social media presence and managing the team and multiple agencies that support these efforts. He was also the architect of the recently announced Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. We have great confidence in Hector’s ability to continue to help us achieve our marketing goals and are so pleased to announce his promotion.”
Munoz will lead and direct all U.S. marketing initiatives including advertising, calendar promotional planning, long-range marketing goals, brand positioning for product innovation and core menu items, and all other marketing communications, including Popeyes digital strategy.
Munoz joined Popeyes in 2011. Prior, he served at Burger King for 11 years and at Long John Silver’s Inc. earlier in his career.
