Pumpkin menu is back at Dunkin' Donuts

September 4, 2013

Dunkin' Donuts kicked off September with new pumpkin menu items, including a new pumpkin pie donut, and a new frozen pumpkin coffee Coolatta. The brand has also brought back several seasonal selections, including pumpkin coffees, lattes, donuts, muffins and more.

Available at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time, Dunkin' Donuts' fall menu offers includes:

  • New pumpkin pie donut: Featuring a pumpkin pie-flavored, buttercreme-filled yeast shell, frosted with white dipping icing and sprinkled with graham cracker topping.
  • New frozen pumpkin coffee Coolatta: Combining the taste of pumpkin with the flavor of Dunkin' Donuts' coffee in a frozen treat.
  • Pumpkin coffee and lattes: Available hot or iced in three flavors — pumpkin, pumpkin mocha and pumpkin white chocolate.
  • Pumpkin K-Cup packs: For use with the Keurig K-Cup Brewing Systems.
  • Pumpkin packaged coffee: Available in a special 8 oz. size at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and online at http://shop.dunkindonuts.com.
  • Pumpkin donut and Munchkins: A glazed pumpkin cake donut.
  • Pumpkin muffin: A spiced autumn muffin topped with white icing and streusel crumbs.

"Perhaps more than any other flavor, pumpkin evokes feelings of nostalgia and comfort, and as fall approaches each year our guests show tremendous excitement and anticipation for the return of our pumpkin menu items. We love delighting our fans with their favorite fall items, as well as some brand new pumpkin treats, and we are excited to keep people running with such a wide variety of food and beverages that make it easy and affordable to enjoy the tastes of the season any time of day," said Stan Frankenthaler, executive chef and vice president of Product Innovation at parent company Dunkin' Brands.

Kansas Turnpike openings

Also this week, Dunkin' Donuts announced the opening of two locations on the Kansas Turnpike with franchisee Rosenfield Restaurants. A third unit is scheduled to open in October.

"Bringing Dunkin' Donuts to service plazas around the country is just one great example of how our brand is taking successful elements of our traditional locations and translating them into alternative points of distribution," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of franchising and business development, Dunkin' Brands.

Dunkin' Donuts locations along the Kansas Turnpike can be found at the Topeka Service Plaza, Interstate 70 at Mile Marker No. 188, and the Matfield Green Service Plaza, Interstate 35 at Mile Marker No. 97. A third location will open in October at the Towanda Service Plaza on Interstate 35 at Mile Marker No. 65.

Eli Manning partnership kicks off

Finally, Dunkin' Donuts announced the continuation of the brand's partnership with New York Giants two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. The agreement, which started in the fall of 2012, will leverage the two-time World Champion quarterback through a series of advertisements and promotions in the New York Metro Area throughout the next two years.

Manning will star in Dunkin' Donuts advertisements that will launch during the upcoming football season. The ads will feature Manning promoting both Dunkin' Donuts' Iced Coffee and the Dunkin' Donuts Mobile App.

In addition, Dunkin' Donuts is introducing the "Eli's Way to Pay Instant Win & Sweepstakes." From now through Sept. 26, guests can enter for the chance to win by texting "MPAY" to 74121 on their mobile devices and find out instantly if they won a prize (limit one entry per person per day).
