QSRs in TravelCenters of America focus on day-long hiring event

The labor market might be tight as a drum, but QSRs are intent on beating it. On the heels of Taco Bell's announcement of 600 national "hiring parties," TravelCenters of America LLC is hosting its first national hiring day on April 24, a news release said.

QSRs that operate within the TravelCenters of America's TA, Petro and TA Express locations are gearing up for the summer travel season, so the recruiting events will take place at sites across the U.S. The company said the one-day event will include hiring processes for everything from entry-level to managerial positions.

"Summer is our busiest season for our quick-service restaurants," TA Director of Recruitment Claudia Ratica, said in the release. "Our local sites will be accepting applications, conducting interviews and even making offers on the spot during the events. ... It is a great place to work, even for part-time employees who are eligible for our benefits package."

Events will run from 2 to 7 p.m. April 24, and prospective applicants can look on the company's website for the array of position. The company's TA Restaurant Group includes nearly 650 quick-service and full-service restaurants including 10 proprietary restaurant brands.
