Customers in Kuwait will now be able to enjoy Quiznos' toasty subs thanks to the company's latest master franchise agreement. Plans are calling for 15 new Quiznos stores in Kuwait.
This new franchisee agreement has been apart of an expansion plan for the company.
FOODCO Inc. will be managing and overseeing the Quiznos stores in Kuwait. FOODCO Inc. was created by several food industry veterans with more than 10 years of experience bringing U.S.-based companies to Kuwait.
"Our primary focus in ensuring the best opportunity for success in a new international market is joining forces with individuals and organizations with proven industry experience, established local infrastructure and exceptional business acumen in the country where they operate," said Lee Vala, Quiznos International chief development officer. "FOODCO Inc. has a clear understanding of local consumer trends and preferences, and we are excited to introduce Quiznos and its chef-inspired menu to new guests in Kuwait."
Moving forward with the expansion, the subway chain will cater specifically to the Kuwaiti culture. To assess that, Quiznos and FOODCO Inc. conducted local research to determine what influences customers in Kuwait during lunchtime. Top results included dinning atmosphere, online ordering and delivery and menu variety.
"In Kuwait, people lunch for pleasure. Guests want to sit in a clean and comfortable atmosphere with a pleasing ambiance. They want the option to have lunch delivered to their home or office. Quiznos offers all of this and a clearly defined methodology for positioning the brand in Kuwait for success," said Mr. Hussain Al Saeed, managing director, FOODCO Inc.
As part of the company's extensive expansion project, Quiznos hopes to grow the brand to more than 40 countries, with the largest emphasis on Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Additionally, in September, Quiznos announced the company's presence in Argentina, Chile and Ecuador.
