Rita’s showcases new watermelon flavor for summer kickoff promo

Rita's Italian Ice has introduced a new flavor, Watermelon Chip Cream Ice, and also announced it will kick off summer with promotional prices on two of its most popular treats during the third annual First Day of Summer, June 21. Rita's will offer regular sizes of its Italian Ice for $2, or guests can enjoy a regular size signature Gelati for $3 on that day.

Rita's Summer of Fun also includes a Summer Selfie Photo Contest from June 21 through Aug. 23. Fans are encouraged to capture group selfies at Rita's locations and submit photos on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #RitasSummerSelfie for a chance to win. Winners will be chosen weekly. According to a company announcement, prizes include Rita's gift cards and the grand prize Samsung NX Mini Flip Screen "Selfie" Camera.
