Order ahead app, Ritual, has launched Ritual for Business in the U.S., which the company said was created to help businesses attract and keep talent by enriching their benefit offerings. The program allows businesses to offer employee meal programs through the mobile app, according to a press release.
Employers can choose the dollar value and frequency of automatic deposits to each employee's Ritual account. Companies can also use the app to make such credits only available during specific times daily to cut costs and food waste. Employers can also elect to only subsidize employee meals if they select healthful menu items from their app, the release said.
"We have received tremendous feedback from our Canadian corporate partners around our Ritual for Business program. Based on the results in the Canadian market, we are pleased to begin offering this to U.S. employers as well," Ritual co-founder and CEO Ray Reddy, said in the release.
Ritual worked with an expert registered dietitian to offer a wellness menu that's integrated directly into the app. Companies can reward employees with bonus Ritual points when they order certain green leaf-denoted items in the app, for redemption for future meals.
Ritual for Business also includes an after-hours dinner program that eliminates the need for expense reimbursement, supports entry of custom billing and expense codes, and offers built-in auditing for employers with workers around the world.
"I think the reason Ritual is so successful for us is because it gives our staff the ability to order what they want, when they want, rather than have a set menu catered to the office," Spotify Global Creative Development Manager Liza Haddad, said in the release. "We provide Ritual credits on Monday and our staff have the flexibility to place orders throughout the week, with overages charged to personal cards, and leftover funds returned to us."
Ritual works with more than 3,000 restaurants for its customers in more than 10 North American cities.
