Sbarro launches limited-time Spicy Calabrian Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza

Sbarro has launched its new Spicy Calabrian Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza, available from now through Aug. 16 at participating locations across the United States, according to a press release.

The LTO features Calabrian Chili Pepperoni and Sausage from Hormel Foods. The pizza is built on Sbarro's signature fresh hand-stretched dough and includes San Marzano-style tomato sauce and shredded in-house 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese. Guests can purchase the item by the slice or as a whole 14-inch or 17-inch XL New York-style pizza.

According to Datassential Research, menu penetration for Calabrian chili is up 59% over the past four years and 29% in the past year alone, though it appears on less than 1% of QSR menus nationwide.

The timing was right — consumer interest in Calabrian flavors has grown significantly, making this the ideal moment to bring a bold yet approachable new taste experience to our New York-style pizza while staying true to the quality and authenticity our customers expect from Sbarro."

The Spicy Calabrian Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza is available at participating domestic Sbarro locations and for online ordering at Sbarro.com while supplies last.
