A Subway restaurant in Boiling Springs, S.C., has installed a touchscreen ordering system at the drive-thru.
According to WYFF4 News, the touchscreen automatically adjusts to any vehicle's height. There are about six Subways in the South Carolina market that feature this ordering system, and about 65 throughout the U.S.
Subway franchisees have been translating the brand's in-store chute-line ordering setup to the drive-thru for years. Some have installed "drive-views" at their restaurants, which feature an elevated ramp and a large window for customers to create their sandwiches.
