Breakfast has become so big for QSRs that even storied milkshake-making brand Steak 'n Shake has built a new menu item around a breakfast milkshake made with diners' favorite cereal brands.
The brand is pushing the new cereal concoctions as the ultimate in get-up and on-the-go eating, according to a news release about the new shakes.
Five crispy flake-infused shakes are featured, including three with Kellogg's family brands Frosted Flakes, Cocoa Krispies and Honey Smacks, as well as cinnamon crunch and caramel frappe options. The chain has even introduced happy hour pricing from 2–5 p.m. weekdays, when the shakes go for half off the regular $3.79 price.
"Breakfast needs to be not only tasty — it needs to be filling and convenient," Steak 'n Shake Senior Vice President of Marketing Jim Flaniken said in the release. "We've invented a truly unique breakfast offering by pairing fan-favorite cereals with our hand-scooped Steak 'n Shake milkshakes."
And because we know somebody will ask: Yes, they come with whipped cream and a cherry on top and are available throughout the day and evening at all locations of the chain.
