While burgers are the main menu offering at Krystal, the chain is cooking up shrimp specials to prompt diners to eat seafood at least twice a week, per the health recommendations of the Seafood Nutritional Partnership.
According to the SNP, just one in every 10 Americans follows that recommendation, originally set forth by the U.S.D.A. and the Department of Health and Human Services. Krystal is featuring two shrimp LTOs, including the Shrimp Po'Boy sandwich and Double Dozen Shrimp Basket meal, according to a company press release.
"We strive to increase the awareness with Americans on the critical need to eat more seafood," Seafood Nutritional Partnership Executive Director Linda Cornish said in a news release.
"We are thrilled to have the support of The Krystal Company and King & Prince Seafood to help build consumer awareness around seafood and our campaign."
Krystal has more than 350 locations in 11 states.
