Sonic fills 3 marketing leadership roles, seeks brand chief

A 10-year marketing veteran at Sonic has been named the brand's new CMO. Lori Abou Habib started at the company as product pipeline manager and most recently served as vice president of national marketing, according to a press release. She worked previously as a marketing manager at CKE Restaurants and as a senior marketing manager for Eateries Inc. 

In her new position, Habib will lead brand strategy, product innovation, national marketing, brand management, media, digital strategy and marketing technology.

The company has hired Darin Dugan as vice president of national marketing  to fill to fill Habib's vacated position. Dugan most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and culinary for Applebee's and previously held leadership roles at Kraft, the release said. 

Kim Lewis joins Sonic as vice president of digital strategies. She previously served as head of marketing and e-commerce for Golfsmith International as worked as an industry consultant.

The company said that it's actively seeking a chief brand officer to oversee the marketing team, as well as Sonic's integrated customer engagement strategy and the evolution of the brand concept.
