Sonic gets 'corny' this weekend

Saturday is National Corn Dog Day, which Sonic Drive-In is celebrating with 50-cent corn dogs, according to a release.

That's a buck off the corn bread-wrapped county fair fan favorite, which diners have been able to order every day at Sonic since 1959. The chain is also using this annual occasion to push its "tots" to go alongside that corny dog, as well as its new ice cream slush with real fruits like strawberries and pineapple.
