Sonic LTO funnels Oreos in a cone

Sonic has introduced a dessert offering built around the double-stuffed Oreo cookie. The Double Stuf Oreo waffle cone with ice cream includes a chocolate cookie waffle cone inner-coated with Oreo cream filled with a layered concoction of ice cream and Oreo cream, then topped with Oreo crumbles, a news release said. 

The whole dessert can also be converted into a Double Stuf Oreo Blast, which blends everything into a spoon-able dessert.

"Everyone loves Oreo cookies. They are such an iconic cookie with adoring fans and deconstructing their classic flavor into something wholly new was a delight," Sonic Vice President of Product Innovation and Development Scott Uehlein, said in the release. 

The LTO starts at $2.49 and the two versions are available at the chain's 3,600 drive-ins.
