The Krystal Company, an 80-year-old chain, has begun a brand refresh with its stores in Augusta, Georgia.
Krystal VP of Construction and Development, Brian Blosser, said it was important to complete the changes in the Augusta market before moving forward with additional renovations in any of the other locations.
"Careful consideration was given when selecting the perfect market to remodel," Blosser said. "With the help of franchisee, Jefferson Murray, and the tireless work of the Krystal team, Augusta was a natural choice for the Krystal brand's refreshing initiative and we are proud of the results."
By taking the brand refresh a single market at a time, executives have been able to measure market impact of the renovations and rebranding. In the Augusta market, with eight of the nine restaurants in the chain remodeled, the company reported it has seen dramatic lifts in store sales, according to a press release. In total, The Krystal Company, has more than 350 locations in the southeastern U.S.
Remodeled restaurants feature plenty of vibrant color, along with LED lighting, an enhanced digital menu board and artwork that maintains the brand's heritage, Blosser said.
