Spicy Chicken Cool Ranch unveiled as Taco Bell's new Doritos Locos flavor

Taco Bell leveraged Snapchat and the MTV Movie Awards Sunday to announce its newest Doritos Locos Taco flavor — Spicy Chicken Cool Ranch. The new flavor will be available at restaurants nationwide beginning May 1.

It was unveiled in the first-ever Snapchat Stories film.

According to a news release, since the original Nacho Cheese DLT launched in March 2012, Taco Bell noticed fans customizing their orders with chicken, which inspired the brand's Food Innovation Team to focus on the inside for a new flavor.

The new Spicy Chicken Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos is made of a Cool Ranch Doritos taco shell on the outside and new spicy shredded chicken on the inside. It will be available for a limited time only for $1.59 (regular) and $1.89 (supreme).

The new offering joins Taco Bell's Doritos Locos lineup of Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch and Flamas. The original DLT is the most successful product launch in the chain's 50-year history, with 100 million sold in the first 10 weeks of availability.
