Subway, Arby's honored for turkey offerings

The National Turkey Federation recently held its 11th annual "Turkey on the Menu" awards, recognizing foodservice providers who best featured turkey dishes on their menus.

Among the winners this year were Subway and Arby's, both in the fast food category. Other categories and winners include full service, Sweetwater Chophouse; mid-scale, The Good Egg ; quick casual, Specialty's Café and Bakery; and supermarket, Wegman's Food Markets Inc.

Federation members nominate the foodservice chains that follow the criteria of the TOM award. This includes the item's consumer appeal, how the chain promotes the menu items through marketing and turkey's food-cost percentage
