Subway signs Robert Griffin III as 'Famous Fan'

Subway has a long list of "Famous Fans," from Olympian Michael Phelps to NBA player Blake Griffin. Now it can add Heisman Trophy winner and former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3) to its roster.

According to Forbes, the quick-service chain signed RG3 as its latest Famous Fan.

Subway will build an RG3 bust from its new Smokehouse BBQ Chicken, which will be featured at a Subway store in Manhattan. The new partnership also will be featured in print ads in Sports Illustrated and USA Today, as well as in TV spots.

According to the story, experts believe that RG3′s contract with Subway is likely a 6-figure endorsement deal. He is expected to be drafted second overall in the NFL draft this week.
