Taco Bell's said its Nacho fries, first launched last January, have been the brand's biggest new menu item to date. In fact, the chain told Motley Fool it racked up 53 million orders in just five weeks after the 2018 launch.
Little wonder then that all the accolades and consumer cries for more of the fries have registered with the Yum-parented brand, which will bring the coveted items back first as surprise freebies for select customers in the following ten markets on Jan. 18, according to a news release:
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Friday, stores in those markets will give Nacho fries away to "a handful of unsuspecting customers." Then a week later, on Jan. 24, Nacho fries return to the chain's menu as an LTO nationwide.
