Taco Bell CMO resigns

David Ovens, chief marketing officer for Taco Bell Corp., has announced his resignation, citing personal reasons.

According to the Orange County Business Journal, Ovens will return to his native Australia with his family. Prior to being named CMO in 2007, he served as CMO for Yum Restaurants International in Australia and New Zealand.

Taco Bell is a Yum! Brands company.

Greg Creed, the chain's CEO, will oversee the marketing department while a search for Ovens' replacement takes place.
