An Ohio resident has filed a second food poisoning lawsuit against Yum! Brands after falling ill with Salmonella after eating at Taco Bell.
The first lawsuit was filed by a Kentucky resident on Aug. 6.
The latest lawsuit was filed by Tammy Hale in the Court of Common Pleas of Scioto County, Ohio. According to Food Safety News, she purchased food from Taco Bell in the beginning of June and began experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms. The symptoms worsened and she eventually spent four days in the hospital, where it was confirmed she was infected with Salmonella Hartford.
Thus far, more than 150 people in 21 states have been confirmed with having the strain. More than 60 percent of the victims have reported eating at Taco Bell.
The outbreaks are thought to have begun in April and continued into early June.
