Taco Bell to open (what may be) the 1st QSR hotel

May 16, 2019

And now from Taco Bell, which brought you the teeny weeny branded-bikini and a Las Vegas wedding chapel, comes what may be the first fast food-branded hotel. For a limited time, Taco Bell is opening its own hotel, called The Bell, opening its doors  Aug. 9 in Palm Springs, California, according to a news release.

The QSR assures its fans that the spacious place in the desert will be head-to-toe taco-fied with everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails infused with a little spice.

Features of the temporary travel oasis include a gift shop brimming with branded apparel to a salon providing Taco Bell-inspired nail art, fades and a braid bar. There will, of course, be what the brand calls "happier hour" and even a few hotel-available-only menu items.

"The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect," Taco Bell's Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg said in the release.

The exact location of the hotel or other details about it or the site were not disclosed. Reservations will open in June for The Bell for the brand's most avid fans.
