Taco Bell UK extends hours for music fans

Taco Bell UK is introducing "Encore Hours," a new initiative to keep its doors open later at select locations in the UK, catering to music fans who often face a tough choice between catching their favorite artists' encore performances or grabbing a late-night bite, according to a press release.

The first Encore Hours will launch at Taco Bell Wembley High Road from Thursday, Aug. 15, to Tuesday, Aug. 20, staying open until 2 a.m. The restaurant is located near the UK's largest stadium.

To celebrate the launch, the first 50 taco orders on opening night will receive a limited-edition Taco Bell Encore Hours T-shirt. Additionally, the first 500 customers each night can enjoy a free Crunchy Taco.

While the initial pilot focuses on Wembley High Road, Taco Bell plans to expand Encore Hours to other UK locations near music venues:

• Sept. 20: Taco Bell, 84 Clapham High St., London.
• Oct. 4: Taco Bell, 75 Southampton Row, London.
• Oct. 22: Taco Bell, 122 Camden High St., London.
• Dec. 12: Taco Bell, 95-99 Western Rd., Brighton and Hove, Brighton.

"At Taco Bell, we believe fans should not have to choose between tacos and tunes– and that's how Encore Hours was born. We're really excited to be extending our opening hours across selected restaurants this summer, kicking off with London's Wembley High Road this month," Amy Durini, Taco Bell International CMO, said in the press release. "Taco Bell is committed to showing up for music fans. By extending our opening times, we're making sure fans can enjoy the encore of their gig and not miss out on grabbing a bite afterwards."

There are currently over 1000 Taco Bell restaurants across 31 countries outside of the United States, including the UK.
