Taco Bell revived its iconic Coin Drop game last month, this time making it digital and a part of the QSR's loyalty program. The brand raised $$182,000 for the Taco Bell Foundation, its fundraising arm, according to a press release.
Fans made an average donation of 42 cents after playing the Coin Drop game or rounding up their tickets to the nearest dollar.
"At the Taco Bell Foundation, our mission is to break down barriers to educate and inspire the next generation of leaders, but it's important to us that we have fun while doing it — and that's what Coin Drop is all about," Jennifer Bradbury, executive director of the Taco Bell Foundation, said in a press release in July. "Coin Drop is truly a win-win for everyone involved. Customers can win fun prizes while knowing they are giving back to a great cause."
The money raised will help fund community grants and Taco Bell's Live Más Scholarships for fans and team members.
