Utah-based TCBY has opened its 30th store in Florida and its 30th store in Texas.
The company continues to expand its footprint in Florida with a new store now open in Sanford. The owner is Richard Santos, a first-time franchise owner in Florida.
The new store, located at the Marketplace at Seminole Town Centre, is 1,600 square feet and features TCBY's new self-serve concept, which allows customers to make their own frozen yogurt treat by choosing from 12 available flavors and mixing in a variety of toppings.
TCBY has also opened its 30th store in Texas with a new unit in Texarkana. The owner is David Weaver, managing partner of Lone Star Yogurt, who has signed a deal with TCBY to open 200 self-serve locations in Texas in the next 10 years.
The new store, located at the Richmond Ranch Shopping Center, is 2,000 square feet and also features TCBY's new self-serve concept.
"Our growth in Texas has expanded significantly this year through our new area developer partnership with David Weaver," said Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY. "Through our strategic plan to open 200 self-serve locations in Texas in the next 10 years, David will continue to work directly with potential franchisees to expand our trusted brand within the great state."
