TCBY partners with Silk to debut dairy-free fro-yo

TCBY and Silk have partnered to create the Silk Chocolate Almond frozen yogurt flavor. According to the companies, this is the first ever national, dairy-free, almond milk-based frozen yogurt.

"We are excited to let our customers enjoy this new, innovative and revolutionary product," said Neal Courtney, CEO of TCBY's parent company, Famous Brands International. "Silk Chocolate Almond is the result of collaboration and development between TCBY and Silk in order to provide our customers with a delicious flavor experience unlike any other currently on the national market."

The development process included a number of challenges before launch, according to a news release. TCBY's research and development team worked alongside Silk's team to finalize the dairy-free formulation, flavor profile and texture to frozen yogurt standards.

"Silk is committed to providing even more great-tasting plant-based choices to consumers, and this further extends that commitment," said Tyler Holm, vice president of Silk Marketing. "Partnering with TCBY allows us to reach even more consumers with a delicious dairy-free option."

TCBY and Silk are celebrating the launch with "The Perfect Match" campaign on social media. Fans are encouraged to join the conversation on social media, utilizing the #TCBYPerfectMatch hashtag. By entering the "You + Beach = The Perfect Match" sweepstakes, they will get a chance to win a trip for two to a Caribbean destination of their choice, including airfare, three-night hotel accommodations and $500 spending cash.

The sweepstakes runs through Aug. 22. In addition to the Caribbean getaway, weekly winners will receive iPad Minis and daily winners will receive $25 TCBY gift cards. More information is available via "The Perfect Match" Facebook app.
