The Chickery has announced its partnership with new franchisees to open 15 locations in California. The Toronto-based chicken chain was founded by celebrity chef David Adjey.
The concept has one U.S. location in the nation's capitol, and recently partnered with Fransmart to fuel its franchising growth strategy.
"I, for one, am very excited to be working with an experienced set of franchise operators in California," Adjey said in a press release. "Northern California will be a great fit for The Chickery, and the new franchisees are great partners who are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of our brand."
Fransmart is responsible for the marked growth of chains such as Five Guys Burgers and Qdoba Mexican Grill, according to the release.
"We truly believe our customers won't be able to get enough once they have experienced the 'best chicken and sides' they have ever tasted — all of which we attribute to the very best ingredients available and David's genius," the franchisees said in a statement.
