The McRib not available nationally this year

To the dismay of many McRib enthusiasts, McDonald's will not be rolling out the cult-favorite LTO nationwide this year.

According to the Associated Press, the chain is leaving the rollout decision up to individual franchise groups. The barbecue pork sandwich has been available nationally for the past three years.

A spokesperson told the AP that the company has "other national priorities" this year.

Restaurants that chose to offer the McRib have had it available for the past couple of weeks. Louisville, Ky., and Los Angeles are two such markets that offer the sandwich.
