Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is hoping to help Americans get their mornings off to a healthy start with its new 350-calorie Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich.
"We know that our guests have hectic morning schedules which is why we continue to develop new breakfast choices to make their mornings better," said Mike Meilleur, executive vice president, Tim Hortons U.S. "Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is known for our great breakfast sandwiches and now we have a lower calorie, lower fat option with the same great taste."
Available at participating Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurants for $2.99, the Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich is made fresh to order, served hot and can be made with an egg-white omelet option at 290 calories, 10 grams of fat and 20 grams of protein, according to a company press release. The sandwich also can be ordered with regular egg and cheese on a toasted English muffin. This version has 350 calories, 20 grams of protein, and 16 grams of fat.
The Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich with cheese and ordered with an egg-white omelet option on a toasted English muffin contains about 70 percent less fat and 45 percent less calories compared to the Classic Breakfast Sandwich with biscuit, pork sausage and egg, according to the release.
