Tim Hortons launching Scan & Pay contest for Canadian fans

Tim Hortons is getting ready to launch a contest for Canadian users who use the brand's app Scan & Pay feature.

The top prize is a chance to win a 2024 Volkswagen Taos and lots of weekly prizes during the contest that kicks off Sept. 4 and runs through Oct. 15, according to a press release.

The feature lets guests pay for their order and earn Tims Rewards points with one scan, enabling a faster and simpler check-out experience.

Guests will earn one contest entry for each eligible purchase made using the feature. The prize list includes a trip for four, vacation getaways, free movies for a year and $1,000 gas gift cards.

In 1964, the first Tim Hortons restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario opened its doors. Tim Hortons has more than 5,400 restaurants in Canada, U.S. and worldwide.
