Tim Hortons receives 76K donut ideas from fans

After receiving more than 76,500 submissions for its Duelling Donuts contest, Tim Hortons has selected eight finalists. The grand prize winner will earn $10,000 and will have their donut featured on the Tim Hortons menu.
Finalists and their creations include:
- Isabelle Scantland Lebel of Gatineau, Quebec, creator of The Pistachio & White Chocolate
- Judd Mah of Edmonton, Alberta, creator of The Lumberjack
- Nikola Kostic of Toronto, Ontario, creator of The Big Canadian Red
- Lauren Armstrong of Toronto, Ontario, creator of The Lemmy Tell Ya About Cheesecake
- Jennifer Brown of Glencoe, Ontario, creator of The Love Reese's To Pieces
- Danny Hawtin of Waterdown, Ontario, creator of The Cookie Jar
- Nancy Angus of Oro-Medonte, Ontario, creator of The Skor Brownie Points
- Jennifer Veenvliet of Barrie, Ontario, creator of The Ice Cream Sundae
The winning donut will be selected by celebrity judges Jason Priestley, Jann Arden, Anna Olson and Ben Mulroney at Tim Hortons head office on Aug. 13. They will consider each donut's flavor, name and marketability. The final four donuts will then be voted on by the public.
