Turkey and all the fixin's aren't something you generally associate with a stop at White Castle, but this year the chain is out to change that by debuting a turkey slider. It features Butterball white turkey meat, topped with the diner's choice of either Dusseldorf mustard or slow-cooked apple butter, according to a company press release.
The traditional marshmallow-y sweet potatoes from grandma's table are now offered at tableau de White Castle in the form of loaded sweet potato fries, topped with syrup, marshmallow creme and cinnamon praline pecans. Another side includes loaded fried green beans topped with gravy and crispy onions.
The chain is also serving a new beverage, a cranberry spritzer with Sprite.
"The turkey sliders and new sweet and savory sides were created with our Cravers' busy lifestyles in mind. The menu items are ideal for those who want to enjoy the taste and flavors of the holiday season while on the go," said White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson. "It doesn't matter if you are headed to a football game, family outing or preparing to cash in on the bargains of Black Friday, White Castle has everything you need to enjoy a convenient, hot and tasty holiday feast wherever you go."
For those who can only say "bah, humbug" to all that holiday stuff, the chain is also extending its Cheesy Crave Case offering over the rough-and-tumble shopping days ahead, but this time only through its website or mobile app. The case features 30 sliders with a choice of American or jalepeno cheese for $19.99.
