Wendy's delivers new chicken salad for free

Wendy's is not only adding a new player to its summer salad line-up, but bringing it to customers at no charge.

A news release said the Berry Burst Chicken Salad offering includes strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, greens, sliced almonds, raspberry vinaigrette and warm grilled white meat of chicken. But the big news is on how it gets to customers without a cent out of their pockets.

The chain has allied with DoorDash as its exclusive national logistics partner. Free delivery is available as an LTO when customers use a special promotion code in their orders.
