Wendy’s franchisee implements JobApp Network hiring solution

April 11, 2011

Sinkula Investments, a Wendy's franchisee that operates nine units in the Northern Kentucky region, has implemented JobApp Network Inc.'s automated hiring solution at all of its restaurants.

The system takes job applicants from initial application to paperless onboarding. It also includes psychometric assessments, background checks and government compliance management.

The system also is paperless, centralized and more organized than previous hiring procedures.

"Getting away from paper-based applications makes it easier for the store managers because they now have an easily understood system for managing applications," said Scott McGarvey, SPHR, HR director of Sinkula Investments. "Before, there were stores that we were challenged to staff. Now, I can look and see what the managers are doing with applicants and determine if they are really on top of the interview and hiring process."

The automated compliance and onboarding solution improves I-9 observance to reduce the possibility of mistakes that lead to audits, fines and penalties. The onboarding software includes integrated I-9 management with more than 150 built-in compliance rules, optional E-verify integration, electronic forms management, work opportunity tax credit forms management, EEO/OFCCP reporting and optional background checks.

"In my experience, managers are generally not well enough informed about the I-9 and JobApp eliminates considerable risk," McGarvey said. "This business is about people. You need good people and a constant pipeline of qualified, pre-screened applicants."

JobApp Network is based out of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
