Restaurant franchisee The Briad Group has raised more than $2.5 million for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, including $325,000 at its 15th Annual Golf Tournament last week.
The Sept. 12 event at the Royce Brook Country Club in Hillsborough, N.J., was sold out with 288 golfers and more than 300 attendees at the dinner event.
"We are honored and humbled by the annual drive and commitment The Briad Group brings to this charity golf tournament. Their long-term support of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is remarkable," said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the DTFA. "The funds raised have allowed hundreds of children in New Jersey and New York to be adopted into permanent homes and loving families."
The Briad Group's entities are: licensed franchisees for Wendy's, T.G.I. Fridays, Corner Bakery Cafe, Marriott, Hilton and a licensee for Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar. The Briad Group also owns and operates CUPS Frozen Yogurt — That's Hot, a self-serve frozen yogurt concept.
