Wendy's free burger promo promises to deliver mobile app audience

Wendy's locations may well be drawing larger crowds this month thanks in large part to the brand's special National Cheeseburger Day celebration. It started Saturday, Sept. 8 and will undoubtedly drive up the number of its app users since the promotion offers any who download the Wendy's mobile app a free Dave's Single with the purchase of anything else on the chain's menu. 

A news release said the offer is good through the end of the month at participating Wendy's restaurants across the U.S. And in case you wondered, National Cheeseburger Day is Tuesday, Sept. 18.
