In response to consumer demand, Wendy's is bringing back its Flatbread Grilled Chicken sandwiches for a limited time.
First introduced in late March, the sandwiches feature grilled chicken served inside a toasted, multigrain artisan flatbread. They are offered in Asiago Ranch and Smoky Honey Mustard flavors.
To mark the items' return, Wendy's has launched a #6SecondsFlat digital campaign to give fans a platform to "share their personalized taste tests," according to a news release. From now until Sept. 29, consumers are asked to taste one of the flatbread sandwiches and share their thoughts through a short video on Vine, Instagram or Twitter using #6SecondsFlat. Each week, participants will have the chance to win $6,000.
"Wendy's Flatbread Grilled Chicken Sandwiches set a new standard for baked bread in quick service. In fact, when we first introduced them, these sandwiches helped drive our premium chicken sandwich units to the highest levels in six years," said Craig Bahner, Wendy's chief marketing officer. "With #6SecondsFlat, we're stepping up our digital innovation, tapping into the short-form video trend and giving consumers an interactive way to share their dining experience."
