Wendy's has launched an online alternate reality community, Wendyverse, with the help of Meta's Horizon Worlds, owned by Facebook.

As of April 2, U.S. and Canadian customers, ages 18 or older, will have access to the 3-D world using Facebook's Quest 2 headset, according to a Yahoo Finance report.

In the alternative reality customers can visit the brand's first-ever VR restaurant located in Wendyverse Town Square Central and mingle with other fans at an orange soda fountain in the town square. They can also play hoops at the Buck BiscuitDome.

To promote the virtual reality experience the brand is offering its Sausage or Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit for a $1 at physical locations through May 1.
