Wendy's to offer $2MM in game cards in Ohio State area

August 17, 2006

COLUMBAS, Ohio — GameWorks, owned by Sega Entertainment USA, has partnered with all central Ohio-area Wendy's locations to offer a free 30-minute video game card (regular value $10) to every guest who purchases Wendy's new Brutus Buckeye Burger combo. The company said Wendy's will offer more than $2 million in free game cards during the promotion.

According to a news release, the promotion for the official Brutus Buckeye Burger begins Aug. 28 in central Ohio and will be available while supplies last.

As part of the promotion, GameWorks will donate 15 cents from each redeemed coupon to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a charitable organization increasing the awareness of the more than 150,000 children in North America's foster care system that have been freed for adoption and are waiting for safe, nurturing and permanent homes. The Foundation also provides critical grant-based resources to local, regional and national programs that, through results-driven and accountable activities, move children from foster care to permanent families and homes.
