White Castle celebrates bakery’s 50th anniversary

For the past 50 years, White Castle’s buns have been baked at a bakery in Evendale, Ohio near Cincinnati. The brand is celebrating the bakery’s milestone by offering free Sliders from its Crave Mobile food truck Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

VP Jamie Richardson said the bakery underwent a “significant expansion and enhancement” in 2012 to increase its production. According to a news release, the Evendale bakery produces more than 500,000 buns each week and has delivered nearly 10 billion buns in its 50 years.
