White Castle is honoring 62 new team members from nine states as part of this year's 25-Year Club class. Founder E.W. "Billy" Ingram began the 25-Year Club in 1946, when he celebrated his silver anniversary with the family owned business.
"The loyalty of our team members is what makes us a successful family-owned business," said CEO Bill Ingram. "In today's day and age, we are fortunate to have 8 percent of our 10,000 active team members with us for 25 years or longer and more than one in four have been with us 10 years or more."
For the past 67 years, 1,736 White Castle team members have been recognized with the 25-year recognition.
The "Class of 2013" includes 14 team members from Chicago, Ill., and 14 from New York, N.Y., the largest regional contingencies on the list. Seven more work in Columbus, Ohio, six in Cincinnati, four in Louisville, Ky., three in Detroit, three in Indianapolis, St. Louis, Minneapolis and the state of New Jersey and one in Dayton, Ohio, and Cleveland, respectively.
"These longstanding team members are the foundation for our growth and are examples of White Castle's values and dedication," said Lisa Ingram, president.
