White Castle gets a little 'sloppy'

With its scoured white exterior and interior tile and gleaming metal furnishings, White Castle is usually the very definition of clean in the QSR world. Only now comes word that the chain's new Sloppy Joe Slider LTO will fly in the face of all that.

Now through Feb. 24, customers can get the new offering, as well as Cheese Nibblers, a news release said. 

The 99-cent sloppy joe slider features 100-percent lean ground beef in a sweet, tangy sauce with onions, tomatoes and bell peppers and topped with smoked cheddar cheese, a news release said. The nibblers feature cheddar cheese and macaroni in a crispy cheddar batter in either five, 12- or 20-piece orders. 

"At White Castle, our Cravers are our family, and we're excited to share with them this new take on a classic family cooking tradition," said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. "Much like our Original Slider, the sloppy joe has been an American favorite since the early twentieth century," White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson said in the release. "Our Sloppy Joe Slider is an homage to the classic recipe, that also features the bold and craveable flavors to which our fans have grown so accustomed."

The chain is also offering a cheesy mac and Joe combo with six sloppy joe sliders and cheese sliders plus two small mac and cheese nibblers for $7.99. Customers who order online or through the brand's mobile app can also get a Super Sack of 20 original sliders for $10.
