White Castle to serve breakfast all day, every day

White Castle's "Anything, Anytime" concept gives "Cravers" (the chain's fan base) the option to order breakfast anytime White Castle is open, starting Sept. 10.

White Castle will offer breakfast menu items around the clock, starting Sept. 10, according to a company press release.

"As a family-owned business, we believe in the power of the customer," White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson said. "Cravers have been begging for our popular breakfast items at other times of the day so we have responded to their Crave calling with Anything, Anytime and an expanded breakfast lineup."

White Castle’s breakfast menu includes eggs served on toast or its signature bun with choice of sausage or bacon.

"Today's consumer continues to look for greater choices, allowing them to personalize their experience," Technomic Inc. Executive Vice President Darren Tristano said in the release. "All day breakfast provides the opportunity for a brand to give their customers what they want, when they want it. Restaurants that provide all day breakfast will put themselves in a better position to capture share and continue to customize their experience."

White Castle also will celebrate the permanent return to the menu of the Belgian Waffle lineup, including its Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sliders, the Chicken & Waffle Slider and the newest addition, the Sausage & Gravy Waffle Slider. The Strawberries & Cream Waffles will be available for a limited time only.

"While our breakfast menu features some of our newest items, some of those offerings like the Breakfast Waffle Slider have developed a passionate following among Craver Nation," Richardson said. "We strive to deliver the best breakfast in the industry, so in honor of September being National Better Breakfast Month, we invite you to crack an egg at White Castle and enjoy one of our breakfast classics for lunch, dinner or any time in-between."

Breakfast has appeared on the White Castle menu for almost 30 years, beginning in 1986, the release stated. The White Castle Egg and Toast Sandwiches debuted in late 2011, and the Breakfast Belgian Waffle Sliders lineup appeared in 2014.

"We are constantly looking at the changing tastes of our Cravers and the American public," Richardson said. "Our White Castle test kitchen has developed and launched a number of new Craver favorites over the past several years, diversifying our menu and creating a need for menu availability outside of the traditional breakfast hours."

White Castle is based in Columbus, Ohio, and owns and operates more than 390 restaurants in 12 states. The company was founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 1921.
