White Castle's Turkey Stuffing recipe is back

White Castle has released the recipe for its turkey stuffing.

November 17, 2015

White Castle has released the recipe for its turkey stuffing. The recipe originated in 1991, when a White Castle employee enhanced her grandmother's family stuffing recipe with a sack of the chain's hamburgers, a company press release stated. The recipe calls for a sack of 10 Original Sliders.

"This recipe is a tasty take on traditional turkey stuffing, which adds the high-quality ingredients of 100 percent all-beef sliders and savory grilled onions for gourmet perfection," said Phillip Bach, White Castle corporate chef.

The original White Castle Turkey Stuffing ingredients and recipe:

  • 10 White Castle Sliders (from the restaurant with the pickles removed or picked up from a local retailer)
  • 1 ½ cups of diced celery
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons each of ground thyme and ground sage
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of coarse ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup of chicken broth
  • Tear the burgers into small pieces; put them into a large mixing bowl with the celery, thyme, sage and black pepper; and toss to combine. Add chicken broth and toss again. Stuff the mixture into the turkey cavity just before roasting or in a casserole dish.

"As a family-owned business, we're glad to see Craver families across the country making the White Castle Turkey Stuffing a staple of their Thanksgiving dinner for nearly a quarter of a century," said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle.
