Wienerschnitzel’s 50th anniversary party planned

Although Wienerschnitzel has been celebrating its golden anniversary with various promotions all year, it'll break out the bells and whistles for its official 50th birthday July 17. On that day, all 350 units will feature 61-cent hot dogs and giveaways in line with the "Der fun since '61" tagline.

Festivities will include:

• Menu originals - Chili Dogs, Mustard Dogs and Kraut Dogs offered at 61-cents each to coincide with the 1961 founding year;
• Mail-in submission forms for a chance to win a trip for two to Germany – trip includes roundtrip airfare to Munich, 7 days/6 nights hotel accommodations and $1,000 spending cash;
• Giveaways such as certificates for free food, original D/W crest stickers, and other Wienerschnitzel merchandise.
