Wilmington Dunkin’ Donuts getting makeovers

December 9, 2010

Four Dunkin’ Donuts stores in Wilmington, N.C., have been sold to SCCD, an established franchisee of the brand. Under the new ownership, the Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants will undergo significant upgrades.

According to the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, those upgrades will include modernization of the interiors, signage upgrades and the installation of wireless Internet services.

SCCD purchased its first Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in 2007 and has since grown to 13 units, mostly in the Charleston, S.C., area.

“In Wilmington, Dunkin’ Donuts has a large and loyal customer base, and we are pleased to be moving forward on our program to enhance and improve the four restaurant locations we now own in this market,” said George Ross, CEO of SCCD, in a press release.
