With Sonic LTO, the cheese no longer 'stands alone'

Sonic is putting some variety in its cheeseburger LTO, by stacking in two forms of cheddar cheese. The chain's Quarter Pound Double Stack Cheeseburger has two beef patties, shredded cheddar as well as cheddar cheese sauce on a brioche bun with mustard, mayo, dill pickles and grilled onions, a news release said.

The $2.99 limited-time offer comes with medium tots and is available at the brand's 3,600-plus drive-ins.
