He said it's important for restaurant operators to pay attention to this quickly growing trend, especially since it's moving upmarket; prices are low now and expected to get higher. Mobile payments add to speed of service, he added, and create a new avenue for brands to talk to their consumers, who are already checking their phones every 5 to 7 minutes.
