Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are pulling out the big guns when it comes to breakfast, adding two new steak-based breakfast items to their menus. They are the latest players to step up breakfastin an effort to capture a larger part of all that breakfast business that seems to be flooding the QSR market.
The grilled steak options come with eggs and melted cheese on either a biscuit or flour tortilla with salsa. The biscuit features Swiss cheese, while the burrito has a southwestern flavor profile, according to a company news release.
"People love their breakfast and it continues to be a bright spot for many restaurants but, in today’s fast-paced world where people are rushing out the door most mornings, a lot of us have to sacrifice taste for expedience," said the brands’ Chief Marketing Officer Brad Haley. "Fortunately, at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, we are dedicated to providing freshly-made, quality breakfast items that can be picked up and eaten easily on the go, but still taste like something you’ll want to savor."
The biscuit combo rings in at $2.99, while the burrito can be hand for a buck more, according to the news release.
